DE: „Syncope 1“ ist das erste von zwei Alben, die gemeinsam eine musikalische Einheit bilden. Die Musik entstand zwischen Dezember 2021 und November 2023. Somit verarbeite ganz bewusst die Geschehnisse im Sommer 2021 als die Jahrhundertflut unser Zuhause überschwemmte und dafür sorgte, dass mein Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen Tag ein vollkommen anderes war. In der Zeit danach entstanden vielen Ideen, manchmal nur wenige Takte kurze musikalische Schnipsel, die ich im Sommer 2023 Stück für Stück, wie ein Puzzle, zusammensetzte. In der Zeit davor war es mir nicht möglich länger als vielleicht eine Stunde am Tag konzentriert zu arbeiten. Ich sortierte die gesammelten Melodien, Sequenzen, Sounds, Rhythmen und innerhalb von 8 Wochen waren knapp 24 Songs fertig. Und wie bei einem Puzzle, ergab das Ganze am Ende ein vollständiges Bild. Das war übrigens eine Zeit, an die ich sehr gerne zurückdenke, und die mir persönlich sehr gutgetan hat. Die Kraft der Musik ist schon unglaublich. 10 dieser Songs findest Du auf „Syncope 1“ wieder.

Trotz dieser Vorgeschichte ist „Syncope 1“ wie auch der noch folgende Teil 2 ein rhythmisches, melodienreiches und anspruchsvolles Elektronikalbum im typischen moonbooter-Stil geworden. An der ein oder anderen Stelle wirkt es eine Spur experimenteller und in Summe ist es vielleicht melancholischer. Aber das soll jeder für sich entscheiden. Dabei wünsche ich Dir gute Unterhaltung!

Das Album erscheint am 9. Dezember 2023 und wird an diesem im Planetarium des LWL im Münster ur-aufgeführt.

EN: "Syncope 1" is the first of two albums that together form a musical unit. The music was created between December 2021 and November 2023, thus consciously processing the events in the summer of 2021 when the flood of the century flooded our home and ensured that my life from one day to the next day was a completely different. In the time after that many ideas emerged, sometimes only a few bars short musical snippets, which I put together piece by piece like a puzzle in the summer of 2023. In the time before it was not possible for me to work concentrated longer than maybe one hour a day. Despite this history, "Syncope 1", as well as the still following part 2, has become a rhythmic, melody-rich and sophisticated electronic album in the typical moonbooter style. In one or the other place it seems a bit more experimental and in total it is maybe more melancholic. But everyone should decide that for himself. I wish you good entertainment!
